Through their experience and guidance, they help advance our mission of equipping frontline providers with the skills and tools needed to deliver better care in underserved communities.
Dr. Torben K. Becker is a clinician-researcher with specialized training in ultrasound, prehospital care, critical care, and global health, bringing a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to emergency medicine. As President of the Global Health Coalition Corporation, he leads efforts to improve emergency care in low- and middle-income countries through education, hands-on training, and research. Dr. Becker's breadth of expertise across the full spectrum of acute care — from the field to the ICU and across international settings — positions him as a visionary leader in advancing equitable, high-quality emergency care worldwide.

Katelyn Flaherty, PhD
Dr. Katelyn Flaherty is an MD/PhD with a doctorate in Global Health from the University of Florida, where her research focused on improving prehospital care in low- and middle-income countries. As Vice President of the Global Health Coalition Corporation, she brings hands-on field experience from Haiti and Ghana, including founding the MotoMeds telemedicine and medication delivery service.

Dr. Lindsay Beamon-Scott is an emergency medicine physician who completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Florida and currently practices at the University of Rochester Medical Center. As Secretary of the Global Health Coalition Corporation, she brings frontline emergency medicine expertise to the organization's mission of improving acute care in underserved communities worldwide

Taylor Smith, BSN, RN-BC
Taylor Smith is an emergency nurse leader and ED Clinical Coordinator at UF Health, a Level 1 trauma center, with a background in emergency care, trauma medicine, and nursing-led research. As Treasurer of the Global Health Coalition Corporation, she contributes her clinical expertise and commitment to improving healthcare delivery in underserved communities.

Dr. Michael Mathelier is a University of Florida MD/MPH graduate and incoming emergency medicine resident whose personal connection to global health was forged during the 2010 Haiti earthquake. As Director of MotoMeds Operations and Finance for the Global Health Coalition Corporation, he brings firsthand field experience from Ghana, where he conducted quality assessments and helped train EMTs as part of the MotoMeds pediatric telemedicine and medication delivery program.
